Solidworks - The Designing Master

SOLIDWORKS is a 3D solid modeling Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), Computer-Aided Design (CAD), and Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software for a mechanical design automation application that lets designers quickly sketch out ideas, experiment with features, dimensions, produce models and detailed drawings. It is one of the fastest growing solid modeling software. SOLIDWORKS is published by Dassault Systems and SOLIDWORKS Corporation was founded in December 1993 by Massachusetts Institute of Technology graduate Jon Hirschtick. SOLIDWORKS released its first product SOLIDWORKS 95 in November 1995.
In SOLIDWORKS, you can easily generate the 2D drawing views of the components. The drawing views that can be generated include detailed, orthographic, isometric, auxiliary, section, and other views. The bi-directional associative nature of this software ensures that any modification made in the model is automatically reflected in the drawing views and any modification made in the dimensions in the drawing views automatically updates the model.
In addition to creating solid models, assembly features and drawing views, SOLIDWORKS enables you to effectively and easily create complex sheet metal components using a number of          tools.

ADVANTAGES OF SOLIDWORKS

*      SOLIDWORKS enable you to draw 2D or 3D design in simple and cost – effective way.
*      Creating 3D designs are easier which improves productivity.
*      Designers and engineers can make changes to designs quickly.
*      Can output the designs to CAM machines.
*      The most commonly used software among engineers and designers.
*      SOLIDWORKS is used internationally by millions of companies.
*      The simulation is easy and very friendly to user.
*      The ability to import data and translate it, store it securely, and maintain its flexibility and accessibility.

APPLICATION OF SOLIDWORKS

*      SOLIDWORKS application SOLIDWORKS is used by students, designers, engineers, and other professionals to produce simple and complex parts, assemblies etc.
*      Every industry faces a unique set of challenges in today’s increasingly competitive marketplace. SOLIDWORKS offers solutions that can help with the toughest engineering problems.
*      In automobile industries, aerospace industries, commercial industries, manufacturing industries and it also use in defense industries.
*      SOLIDWORKS provide complete solution for the electrical engineer from design concept through physical product to the manufacturing output.
*      In designing of consumer products, engineering and construction, product design etc.
FEATURE OF SOLIDWORKS

*      Create accurate 2D drawings fast that can be automatically updated on-the-fly when you change your 3D model.
*      Create production-ready 2D drawings that communicate how your design should be manufactured and assembled.
*      Speed up design with focused industry tools that ensure accuracy with built-in intelligence for each discipline.
*      Test your design against real-world conditions and ensure you have the best design before you build it.
*      Create sophisticated part and assembly designs quickly and efficiently using powerful, easy-to-use software.
*      Quickly and easily create powerful images and animations to communicate your design intent and functionality.
